Wild Card Searching

Wild Card searching allows you to use the asterisk symbol to aid your searches.

For example if you were looking for Douglas Plumbing, and you call it Douglas Plumbing but it is entered into your Database as “A. Douglas Plumbing” you would not find it by searching for Douglas Plumbing.

If you searched for *Doug* it would bring back anything with the letters D-O-U-G in the company name, including A. Douglas Plumbing

If just put the Asterick at the end of the word it will search for wild cards at the end of the word. For example:

A Search on: Plumb* would return: Plumbing Associates Inc, Plumbers United

A Search on: P* would return every company in the directory that starts with “P”
