Standard Project Vs. Bid Package Project

There are two choices when creating a project: Standard Project or a Bid Package Project.

A Standard Project is a project that has one set bid date and one bidders list.

Bid Package Projects allows you to setup a “parent project” with multiple “bid package projects.” Each Bid Package project has a separate bid date and bidder list.

If you do choose to run a project as a Bid Package project all the bid packages will share the same set of plans, specs, and ADDENDA.

Point to Ponder

When an addendum is posted to a Bid Package project since it is shared amongst all bid packages; all the bidders on all the bid packages will be notified that there is a new addendum.

If this is not the way you want to run you project you might want to create each of your bid packages as “Standard projects” on iSqFt so they can have Package specific Addenda.
